We threw a Football themed party for Jack and wore our favorite football team gear! My mom and brother were in town and all of Jack's buddies were there to celebrate. We had an awesome time-- thanks to our friends and fam for making it such a blast for Jack!!

The last picture I posted of my Jackers was from Easter. . . hhhhmmmmm, ya, I have been putting it off for a long time. Sorry familia, did you want to see Jack beyond 5 months? Enjoy our growing boy! He is almost 10 months old so I have a lot of cathching up to do. Jack is pure joy and we could not ask for a happier baby! He has two teeth and one on the way, is a little over 21 lbs and crawling, low crawling I should say--he strives to remain tactical at all times, and loves to eat--his favorite meal right now is avacados and cereal. . . Ya, I know!

During the first week in May, we took a road trip to Georgia. Jack was 6 1/2 months during this trip and was a champ, great traveler. We had Jack baptised during this trip and it was wonderful! Jack's grandparents and one set of great-grandparents, aunts and uncles and friends were there to celebrate! Jack is a very lucky boy to be so loved by so many! I haven't downloaded pics of the baptism--didn't take any with my camera--but here are a few pics with the family.

Jack in the pool for the first time in Uncle Chaps' heated pool! He was pumped to wear his new board shorts and matching shirt and hat. We were the typical first timers that layered him in spf 50 just in case the sun came near him--did I mention it was like 5:00 pm? We got a few smiles out of him but I'm not sure he knew what to think about the whole thing, I think he was wondering why bath time was lasting so long. One thing's for sure, he didn't like it when mom accidentally put his face in the water. . . oops. . . sorry Jack.

Here it is. . . finally! Friends and family have been calling and e-mailing me telling me to get off my lazy tail and update our blog! I ran out of excuses so here it is! I was way behind and hadn't posted since before Thanksgiving. . .ssoooorrryyyyyy.
Things are awesome here, Jack is amazing! He is smiling and laughing all day, every day now--he is so much fun! He will be 3 months tomorrow, I'll post those pics by May I promise, and is about 12 1/2 lbs and eats non-stop--he's a machine. Guess I need to learn to feed and blog at the same time. He is in his crib as of last week and is doing so well, still waking up a couple times at night but we're getting there!

We went to a Corpus Christi Ice Rays arena hockey game a couple days after Christmas! We hit Brewster's Icehouse--you heard me Bobby-- to grab some food and beer before the game. Great time and Jack slept most of the time, even through faces getting slammed against the glass.

Hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas!! This was the best Christmas for us, Jack had a blast opening all of his presents. . . no wait, we opened them and he slept the whole time. My mom and her husband, Tom, came for almost a week and we had the best time. Grandma hadn't seen him since he was born and Grandpa hadn't met Jack yet so needless to say they were excited! Happy Thanksgiving, 2 months late. . . Thanksgiving was great this year with the little guy around, lots to be thankful for! Matt's grandma, Dorothy, turned 100 in November! Wow, how incredible is that? We flew to NY to celebrate the milestone and Jack got to meet his great-grandmother!! Pretty cool! Jack also met his uncle Erik and cousin Caitlin. He was 5 weeks when we flew and he did so well, slept the whole time. I was a little nervous but he was a champ. Sorry you're not in the pic Erik, I had to get one with Caitlin looking up :-)

Satuday was a big day for us--Jack was 3 weeks old, it was our 5th anniversary and we celebrated the Marine Corps birthday and went to the Marine Corps Ball in downtown Corpus Christi!

Help us welcome Jack Edward Halbert, born 04:55 pm on Saturday, October 18th. He was 7.6 lbs, and 20 1/4 inches long. Baby and Mom are doing great, and everyone is trying to get some sleep. Thank you for every one's best wishes.

We are loving having Jack in our home. He is an eating and sleeping machine.

Okay, so I'm 38 weeks and 3 days and it's weird not knowing when this little guy wants to say hello, or hola' in these parts, but the countdown has begun. The grandmas are coming this Saturday, a few days before the due date, and we are so excited. Hopefully he'll make his entrance soon. We can't wait!! Friends have asked for a bigger photo of the 38 weeker so here it is. When it's go time we'll text all of you and let you know when Jack is here.

Here are a few pictures of our new landscaping, we are so happy to have trees and plants! We're the first ones in the neighborhood to have landscaping so we truly were pschyed to see something green besides grass. Props go to Matt for every bit of this project, he worked his tail off and did EVERYTHING himself from digging up grass to tilling and shoveling dirt and mulch--good ol' sweat equity. I just stood there and watched and fed him water and made sure he didn't pass out as he sweated in the Texas heat for 12 hours every weekend. It looks amazing now and we can't wait for everything to grow and bloom! Looks awesome Matt!!!

Our Bailey turned 4 today!! She is super excited and has been snacking on Peanutnuttier treats, beggin' strips and destroying every toy we got her today. Hey everyone! Thought you might want to see the latest 4-D of Jack's face. The ultrasound was taken this past Tuesday at the 29 week mark. He is about 3.6 lbs and doing great. The picture is obviously a little distorted but you are seeing a front view of his forehead, eyes, nose and mouth. I know they are hard to see sometimes so we hope you can find his little face in the photo.

Wow!! What an amazing baby shower!! Matt and I could not be more thankful to our family and friends for making this such a special day. My mom, Judi and Jennifer made the trip to Corpus Christi to throw us this shower and we had so much fun! You put so much thought into every detail and your sneakyness paid off-it was a beautiful shower! Our Friends surprised us and sent along so many thoughtful gifts, we felt like you were all there and we love you! And you'll be happy to know Matt made it through the 5 hour shower unharmed though I think he's seen his last baby shower.

Huge thanks to my wonderful husband for the greatest birthday ever!! Jen and Judi treated me to spa day for my birthday. . . while we were getting pampered, Matt spent 3 hours making my favorite foods, filling the house with my food cravings (salt and vinegar chips and M&Ms topping the list) and decorating the inside and outside of the house from top to bottom with signs, balloons and streamers. Big props go to the man for also making his first cake from scratch--a Paula Dean coconut cake none the less-the best cake I've ever had. And thanks to Matt I won't be driving around Corpus visiting all the gas stations looking for directions. . . love the Garmin and love you!
